Planted a Redwood Tree Today
Of all the trees we have planted and cultivated on this property, this one somehow felt the most special. We planted a Dawn Redwood, an endangered species and living fossil. It is fast growing and massive. If we should be so lucky, we may live long enough to see it reach its full height of 50 metres. We have located this specimen near our planned “ruins fire pit”, which is a raised area created by the ruins of an old barn foundation. I can just imagine sitting around the campfire under this friendly giant, playing guitar, and enjoying the night sky.
